We are going to the hospital in the morning for my wife to be induced. She is over a week past due, and it is about time for the baby to arrive. (We are tired of waiting.)

Here comes Santa Claus

I am not a proponent of telling children that there is a Santa Claus. I do not however wish to spoil children’s fun. In an attempt to strike a happy medium, I try not to discuss it either way. This, unfortunately, means I do not discuss it with my son.

But this picture is really cute.

Conservativism

Since when is Fox News a conservative broadcast?

I have heard a lot about this so called conservative viewpoint in the past few weeks, and I just do not see it. Whose says that they are conservative? Can someone please explain this to me?

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

My parents are here for the Holidays. Despite my contempt for house guests, I am glad they are here.

I made a promise to my mother that I would always be home for Christmas. Keeping this promise has become more difficult since I met my wife and had multiple sets of parents to see on the Holidays. But I managed to keep my promise.

Being a Marine has not made keeping this promise easy, either. I actually had to miss one Christmas. But just one.

This year’s obstacle is the birth of our second child. I begrudge my children nothing, but they are work, and I was disheartened that I would have to miss another Christmas with my family. But thanks to the baby’s stubbornness (the baby has still not arrived yet), my parents made the journey to come and see me. (I’m sure the prospect of seeing their newest grandchild did not hurt the cause.)

I will be surrounded by my family on the Holidays.:grin:
