Last night was one of those rare nights that we got a baby sitter for RJ. The last time that happened was November. It was also one of those rare nights we went out to eat. Some friends of ours came down and we all went to Sakura, a Japanese Steak House.
I thrive on routine, and usually order the same thing everywhere I go. I was a bit wary about trying something new, but Beth insisted. I was very impressed. The food was great, and I could not even finish what was on m plate before they gave me more food, I did well with the chop sticks, and the beer was deceptively tasty. When all was said and done, I was very full and quite convivial.
It was a very entertaining meal as well. Our chef gave me a couple of ideas to try out on our griddle at home, although I think that Beth might object. Tony slept throughout the whole ordeal, which also lead to a pleasant meal.
All in all, I think that this was the highlight of my week. I wish my wife and I could have more “date nights” like this one.
