WordPress Options

If anyone else, besides me, decides to edit the all of the options in the WordPress administration panel at once by calling to the /wp-admin/options.php directly, and you are using one of the nightlies, BEWARE! It took me a good twenty minutes to figure this one out.

After changing the necessary settings, I lost all of my plug-in settings, and both of the rss_0ff XXXXXXXXX settings. This meant that I got all of my errors as though I was calling to an undefined function, and the dashboard did not work. On top of that, I lost all of I lost all of my comment moderation spam words.

To correct this problem, I had to:

  1. Go to /wp-admin/options.php
  2. Clear the values for
    • active_plugins
    • rss_0ff4b43bd116a9d8720d689c80e7dfd4
    • rss_0ff4b43bd116a9d8720d689c80e7dfd4_ts
  3. Update settings
  4. Re-active all of my plug-ins
  5. Reconfigure all of the plug-ins that are able to be updated through the administration panel such as
  6. Rebuild the list of common spam words

Next time I think I will just take the normal route.
