Why is it that when you receive something nice, something that you really do not need, but something that is nice to have, and then it breaks, you are forced to buy a new one?
I ask that question because our portable DVD player broke. It is a a really nice thing to have, especially when traveling with children or stuck in traffic. (No, I, as the driver, do not watch videos while I am driving.) But it is completely unnecessary. Yet when it broke, I immediate ran out and bought a new one. With a case, and that is something that we did not have before.
Maybe one of these days fiscal responsibility will overwhelm me and I will stop buying things that we really do not need. But until then, I am going to make my wife drive and I am going to sit back and watch Shrek with the boys.
