Car Trouble

How can mechanics have a conscience? They charge between a 50% to 200% mark up on parts, plus more for labor than teachers and day care providers combined, and you trust the latter with your children!

Our latest woe is the lack of heat in the mini-van. It is the heater core. This is not a big deal to replace, but it is difficult to get to. The first time I changed one it took just over an hour. The part itself cost $40.

How then, can you take the car to the dealership, they tell you that your repair is not covered under your extended warranty you purchased, and proceed to tell you that the repair described above will cost you $900.

I am glad my father taught me how to work on cars.
