Today is the day that the East Coast “springs” forward one hour to Daylight Savings Time, and I forgot about it. That was until my wife called and left me a message to remind me about it.
I had planned on being at Best Buy about twenty minutes before they opened to make sure and be the fist person in line to have my new speakers installed in my truck, and when I got the message the clock already said 8:45 A.M. That would make it 9:45 A.M. under Daylight Savings Time, right?
If you answered yes to that question, you, like me, remember the days when we had to go to every clock in the house and move it forward an hour. But that is not necessary today. My watch, my cellular phone, my cable box, and my computer automatically adjust for Daylight Savings Time. This can be very convenient, but also very confusing.
My trip to Best Buy was further frustrated by the fact that I though they opened at 10A.M. when, in fact, they do not open until 11 A.M. on Sundays. I ended up arriving at Best Buy at about 8:55 A.M. At least I was the first person in line for the installation.
