Bond of Brothers

I have spent a lot of time at home with RJ and Tony lately. I am happy to be able to spend so much time with them a more than a little disappointed that I have to go back to work. This is the first time that I have spent this much time with either of them since they were born, let alone time with just us guys.

I am amazed at the bond that the boys have. Most of us know how fussy a four month old can be and how little there is to stop his displeasure. But RJ always manages. No matter why or how long Tony has been fussing, RJ always makes him laugh.

As I resume working full time, I will miss them, but at least I will be home every evening and night. I am glad that they have each other. With our ever changing lives and their ever changing daycare situation, they have always had each other.

I have not found many pleasures that rival the joy I feel watching RJ and Tony grow closer as they grow up.

Save our Social Security. I am young. I would like for it to be there when I retire.

Anonymous Call Rejection

I had debated the benefits of anonymous call rejection until this week. Having just moved and received new phone service, we were not part of the Do Not Call List for the first 30 days we had our phone. We received at least 5 sales calls per day, some as late as 9:30 P.M. Having two boys asleep by then, hopefully, made for some interesting conversations with telemarketers.

Since I activated the anonymous call rejection we have not received any phone solicitations. Not one. And we still have 6 days left before we are officially part of the Do Not Call list. If I irritate anyone by this, tough. You will have to dial *82 before you dial my number to unblock it from displaying on my caller ID.

Waking Up in the Middle of the Night

Occasionally, RJ wakes up in the middle of the night and climbs in bed with me and my wife. Until last night, he always climbed in on “Mommy’s” side. Last night, about for in the morning, actually, he came over to my side because he wanted “Daddy” to hold him.

As stressing as it can be with children waking up in the middle of the night, that was the start to a good day.

Tony’s Baptism

When: Sunday, May 29 2005 10:45 AM
Where: Dublin, Ohio
Contact: Call my home or cell phone to RSVP. If you do not have either, please e-mail me.
More Information: http://www.st-john-dublin.org/
My Role: Sponsor

Tony’s baptism is scheduled for the Sunday before memorial day. We chose this day so that, hopefully, our out of town family could attend.

This is the first time that we have been able to schedule a family event because of the unpredictability of my schedule. I am happy to share this day with my friends and family, and pray that you can join me and my family in the celebration of my youngest boy’s formal entrance in the Church.
