My question, more clearly stated, was why would I want to pack up my life to move a mile down the road? By this, I mean that packing requires me to do without, as all of my effects will be boxed up. With this small of a move, we can quickly throw it in a box, drive down the road, and quickly unpack. There would be no need to suffer the inconvenience of doing without the things that I use on a daily basis. I did not mean that I would carry everything out of boxes.
