Oops
Lately, A Family Guy has been taking an abnormally long time to load. It was even noticeable on my connection, so I am sure that it was even more noticeable on dial-up or DSL. I have been trying to figure it out for a week or so, and have done everything from optimizing my CSS(link) (Cascading Style Sheets) to removing images. There is really no way that I can cut down on my script size, as it is part of the WordPress core, but that has never been a problem in the past.
I got the idea in my head that it may be a latent incompatibility issue with one of the older plug-ins and WordPress 2.0, so I went about clearing out plug-ins. I have not used many of these in a long time, and others I just do nut use with the current theme. Along the way I accidentally deleted a necessary file. I did not notice this at first, but I was quite dismayed when I realized what I ad done.
Anyway, if you were one of the eight people that attempted to view this site, sorry.
I am thinking that it may be one of the scripts from Measure Map, as this does not seem to happen when I remove the main script. Does anyone else have any ideas on why the page load may be stalling?

Measure Map is a statistics site specifically for web logs. I started tracking this site back in November of 2005.
The page load periodically stalls, and many times it seems to stall on the measuremap script. I am not sure if that is the cause of it, but when it stalls, that seems to be where.
Thanks for letting me know about the page load!
