My parents are very practical with their gifts. This is something that I have always appreciated. For my upcoming birthday they decided that they got me a replacement bumper.
I broke my bumper when we moved last year. For the last ten months it has ben held together by a piece of yellow rope, which you can see in the back of the photo.
It only took a couple of hours to take the old bumper off and put the new one on. It would have gone alot quicker if we had the right tools off of the bat, but who keeps an oxy-acetalyne torch around the house?
I have given up on the bloat that Gallery has become. In it’s place I am now using Plogger.
It took a total of two minuted to install. It took about fifteen minutes to port all of my albums from my old Gallery installation and set them up in the new Plogger gallery. It took another four or five minutes to integrate Plogger with the theme of Carpentology.
I have some work to do tweaking it to fit exactly what I would like it to look like, but it looks great, it is fast, and there is no bloat.
I also have some work to so updating links from old posts. If anyone knows of an easy way to check links from old posts, please let me know.
You can view the new gallery at the same place.

I try to be a good father. Give my kids mulligans. Work nights to pay
for their text messaging. Take them to swimsuit shoots. But compared with Dick Hoyt, I suck.
Eighty-five times he’s pushed his disabled son, Rick, 26.2 miles in
marathons. Eight times he’s not only pushed him 26.2 miles in a
wheelchair but also towed him 2.4 miles in a dinghy while swimming and
pedaled him 112 miles in a seat on the handlebars–all in the same
day.Dick’s also pulled him cross-country skiing, taken him on his back
mountain climbing. Makes taking your son bowling look a little lame,
right?

RJ and Tony attended their first baseball game this evening. RJ was very excited, and wondered why Daddy was not playing since the only games he regularly attends are Daddy’s softball games.
Beth got some tickets to a Columbus Clippers game through work. They set up the picnic area in left field at Cooper Stadium with tables and food, which the boys both thoroughly enjoyed. There were many other children the same age as the boys and we were located in a large grassy, fenced in are so the boys were free to roam.
I remember very going to ball games with my Dad and Grandpa. The only other minor league games I attended were for the Toledo Mudhens. I also fondly remember going to Tiger Stadium the for one of the last games the Tigers played there before relocating to Comerica Park.
In the spirit of the national pastime I, along withmy boys, will continue to root, root, root for the home team. And I guess being a resident of Columbus I should start rooting for more of the local teams.
NOTE: This does not include Ohio State. Go Blue!
