Night at the Ball Park

RJ and Tony attended their first baseball game this evening. RJ was very excited, and wondered why Daddy was not playing since the only games he regularly attends are Daddy’s softball games.

Beth got some tickets to a Columbus Clippers game through work. They set up the picnic area in left field at Cooper Stadium with tables and food, which the boys both thoroughly enjoyed. There were many other children the same age as the boys and we were located in a large grassy, fenced in are so the boys were free to roam.

I remember very going to ball games with my Dad and Grandpa. The only other minor league games I attended were for the Toledo Mudhens. I also fondly remember going to Tiger Stadium the for one of the last games the Tigers played there before relocating to Comerica Park.

In the spirit of the national pastime I, along withmy boys, will continue to root, root, root for the home team. And I guess being a resident of Columbus I should start rooting for more of the local teams.

NOTE: This does not include Ohio State. Go Blue!
