I remember spending a lot of time at my Grandma and Grandpa’s house when I was growing up. These memories are very vivid, despite the fact that they happened a couple of decades ago. So, in turn, I am glad to provide this opportunity to my boys.
This is Tony’s week with Grandma and Grandpa. (RJ had his week in June. We thought it best to spread the visits out a little bit to provide some recovery time.) This is not the first time Tony has spent the night somewhere else, but it is the longest time.
This is a welcome break for Beth and me. Between my seventy hour work weeks I find it difficult to give the boys the attention that they need. My hours have also changed to coincide with the European business day since I am working with folks from the UK. (They even had me working on the Fourth, but I made them all wish me a happy Independence Day, so I was amused enough to keep on working.)
Beth has been busy with her home business, but she seems much more relaxed than when she was working an office job. I am happy for her, and her lack of stress is much better for me, too.
